Acum, cînd acceptăm golul

Fragment:

Now that we accept the emptiness

Abstract:
We understand photographic action as performance. In this particular case we hold it closer to Nature as physis, in the Greek sense of the phrase: that which is common to all that exists. We took Merleau-Ponty’s philosophic theory as a starting point, namely such concepts/ themes as reciprocity/reversibility of the tangibility between the sentient subject and the sensitive world; the importance of the body in the process of feeling (that which unites body and world cannot be reduced to a qualification or concept); the overtaking of the subject/object binomial (that comes from the recognition of its own nature derived or founded and yet not original or founding); the exploration of perception (pre-objective/pre-predicative by nature) and it’s domain; the intentionality of the sensitive; and the articulation/reciprocity between sensitive and intelligible.
The physical and conceptual act of the photographer is hereby assumed as defining of the formal photographic image. We define performance as an act that distinguishes itself from the unstoppable slide of space-time in which we ourselves are immersed, due to an acute conscience of the present, here and now, on the part of the performer. As if creating a frame, a guideline – by defining it’s beginning and end we delineate a portion of occurrences. Photography and performance frame a delineate life, as space-time courts. They both underline the conscience of present time of the subject that produces them, always implying the question of subject in action, the creation/production of content and meaning. Action comes prior to the work: in truth the action is the substance of its beginning and contains as well in itself the intricate enigma of its cessation.
